Every woman should perform a self-examination once a month. This examination should be done 5-7 days after the start of menstruation, when hormonal influence is minimal. The examination begins with a mirror. Place your hands on your hips and first check the symmetry of the breasts. Examine any detected formations in the breasts, and also check for changes in the skin, such as dimpling or color changes. The same process is repeated with raised arms. Then, the examination continues lying down. It starts with the right breast. For convenience during the examination, place a small pillow under the right shoulder blade, and the right hand is placed behind the head. Then the left breast is examined.
