Every pregnant woman during pregnancy should undergo ultrasound at least 4 times:
- Before the 7th week of pregnancy - it is during these periods that ultrasound allows to confirm a normal pregnancy in the uterine cavity and identify a number of pathologies that occur during these periods.
- At 12-13 weeks of pregnancy - with an ultrasound examination conducted at these times, it is possible to identify developmental defects that may occur in the fetus.
- The optimal time for detecting malformations in the fetus is considered to be 20-25 weeks of pregnancy - up to 90%. During these weeks, you can observe the formation of all organs and systems of the fetus in the womb, as well as the development of the fetus in the womb.
- The last examination should be carried out closer to childbirth, that is, at 37-38 weeks.
! The ultrasound application during each repeated examination does not pose any danger.
