There are extensive recommendations for protection against the known virus of the century, the coronavirus, which affects millions of people. In addition to following the rules of hygiene, medical masks are used. Unfortunately, many of us do not know how to use a mask. Medical masks are of two types, surgical and respiratory. The duration of surgical masks is 2-3 hours. Respiratory masks have a longer service life than surgical masks. But it is not right to use these masks again after removing them.
Wearing masks for a long time can cause respiratory problems.
As for the use of medical masks:
- Before wearing the mask, wash your hands with soap and water or disinfect with alcohol.
- Make sure that the mask completely covers the mouth and nose, and there is no gap between your face and the mask.
- Do not touch the mask when using it.
- If you touch, wash your hands with soap and water or disinfect with alcohol.
- If the mask gets wet, replace it with a new one.
- The mask should be removed from the back without touching the front.
- Immediately after placing into the bag, wash your hands with soap and water or disinfect with alcohol.
