Rheumatism

  • In everyday language, pain in the joints and muscles is often called rheumatism. However, this is not entirely accurate, since a disease called “rheumatism” does not actually exist. There are many inflammatory and non-inflammatory diseases that cause joint pain — these are referred to as rheumatic diseases.
  • If you experience any of the following symptoms for more than 3 weeks:
  • • Joint pain
  • • Swelling or redness of the joints
  • • Crunching or clicking sounds when moving
  • • Changes in the shape of the joints
  • • Morning stiffness, and others
  • Be sure to see a doctor for an examination. A correct diagnosis and timely treatment can help prevent complications and preserve joint health!
  • Thanks to our therapist-rheumatologist, Dr. Ruhangiz Nasibli, for the helpful information.
