Official statement on the forgery of COVID-19 certificates by 96 passengers

  • As is known, at Ganja Airport it was discovered that 96 passengers planning to fly the Ganja–Saint Petersburg route presented forged medical certificates related to COVID-19. Although the documents were issued on the official result forms of our center, it was proven that none of these passengers had contacted our center, and the results were not issued by us. Unfortunately, individuals not registered in our patient database use various software programs to forge results and prepare medical certificates before flying. We do not bear any responsibility for such illegal actions by citizens.
  • To prevent such cases, for about 4 months now, all certificates issued by us have included a special QR code. This QR code is sufficient for airport staff to scan on the spot and determine whether the certificate is genuine or forged. To confirm the authenticity of the certificate, it is enough that the results issued by us are present in the TƏBİB database. If the data is absent both in our system and in the TƏBİB database, this is direct proof of document forgery.
  • This is how the forgery of certificates by 96 passengers was identified. In cases where such facts are detected before departure at the airport, law enforcement agencies are immediately informed, and special measures are taken against these individuals. Our clinic is not responsible for this and other similar unlawful actions.
  • We have repeatedly informed law enforcement agencies and TƏBİB about cases that damage the business reputation of Leyla Medical Center. We appeal to media representatives to respect the rights of our center and not to spread unreliable information that distorts public opinion without first verifying the facts through the Leyla Medical Center press service.
  • We reiterate that to verify the authenticity of the results, it is sufficient to scan the QR code on the official form, go to the electronic results section on our website, and enter the patient’s personal data.
